What does it cost to have cabinets custom built?
It depends on the size of the room, how many drawers versus doors, the finish, and how involved the install is. Drawers, tall pantries, glass doors and crown to the ceiling add labor. Send a few photos and rough measurements and we will give you a real number for your room instead of a guess.
What should I have ready before I ask for a quote?
A few photos of the room, rough wall lengths and ceiling height, the appliances you plan to keep or buy, and any pictures of kitchens you like. Rough numbers are fine. We take our own measurements before anything gets built.
How is custom different from the cabinets at a home center?
Stock cabinets come in fixed widths, usually three inches apart, so the leftover space gets covered with filler strips. Custom boxes are sized to your walls, your ceiling height and your appliances, in the door style and color you pick.
Can you match a paint color or an existing piece?
Bring the color name, a paint chip or a photo of what you want to match and tell us about it in the form. Our recent projects include white, sage green, deep green and charcoal, each chosen by the homeowner.
Do you only build kitchens?
No. Kitchens are most of the work, but the same shop builds islands, hutches, pantries, desks, laundry storage and shelving. If it is made of wood and needs to fit a specific spot, ask.
